People wishing to join Caves Beach S.L.S.C need to complete an application for membership form and sign a declaration form as required by Surf Life Saving Australia.
All members over the age of 18 are also required to complete a Working with Children Check as required by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
There is new legislation involving all people including volunteers when it comes to working with and/or coaching children. From this season all members will be required to complete a working with children check online and then verify their identity at an RTA. There is no cost involved for volunteers and we will be offering assistance to members with no internet access or with limited computer skills.
We have all been filling out the old forms each year at registration but the new laws require everyone to complete this new process.
Attached is a document that clearly outlines the steps required to complete the process. Working with Children Check
